A study of estimation of French cities offering the best real estate gains in 15 years places Lyon at the head of the market, ahead of the major metropolises of the Hexagon.

The platform, site specialized in real estate appraisals, made forecasts on cities whose property prices would be rising in 10 to 15 years. In order to establish a precise figure on the issue, the specialist has relied on three key points of the residential market activity: demography, job creation and elements for improving the living environment. As a reminder, from 2000 to 2016, Bordeaux was at the top of the list with the best real estate growth and prices up by 204%, or 66% more than the average of the major French cities. Then came Lyon in second place (+ 164%), then Montpellier (+ 159%), and Lille (+ 156%), all placed in front of Paris (+ 144%).

In the new study, it seems that Bordeaux, holder of 4 stars, loses ground before Lyon, Nantes and Rennes. These three cities are assumed to make between 30 and 50% more than the average of the major French cities. The capital of Gaulle made very good impression, obtaining three times the maximum score.
