The real estate market grows
The real estate sector is on the rise, two data are important in this balance:
First, the number of real estate transactions in old homes increased by 11% compared to 2015.
Secondly, real estate prices have generally increased by 0.3% for apartments and 2.1% for houses. In the provinces, this increase is greater: 2.9% for apartments and 5.7% for houses.
On the property market of Lyon, the city retains its 2nd rank (in Province) in terms of price per square meter for old apartments behind Nice. For the old houses, Lyon climbs a place compared to 2015 and is placed 3rd behind Toulon and Nice.
The price per square meter on Lyon in 2016 was on average € 3,370. Sales of atypical goods such as mansions or prestige properties are excluded from the price analysis.
Prospects for real 2017?
The year 2016 was marked by exceptionally low interest rates. The year 2017 reserves itself to be as performing in the continuity of 2016. On the Lyon sector, the upscale is growing especially thanks to many audacious projects such as OGIC in Bellecour.
